To celebrate its 50th birthday, the Austin Museum of Art is offering free admission on Thursday. The free day is the first in a series that will run through September. The museum will be open to the public with no charge for admission from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.  Attendees can view AMOA’s current exhibit, Good Design: Stories from Herman Miller, which uses drawings, models, prototypes, photographs and oral histories to showcase the creation and evolution of many 20th and 21st century masterpieces.
