NeckBone is a new super-group born in Austin, Texas.

The band is made up of nine talented and passionate artists who, together, create a powerhouse of music, sound, and creativity. Hip-Hop has been a powerful influence in the music industry and the band loves this fact. However; funk groups like Parliament, The Gap Band, Rick James, Isaac Hayes, Cameo, and Bootsy Collins all brought funk and social commentary to the Free concert Austin Neckbonemainstream. NeckBone combined the two beautiful elements and trademarked the genre: “Funk-Hop”. NeckBone was created by lead vocalist, Ter’ell Shahid in order to counter the empty music of today’s mainstream market and bring content back to urban music’s front stage. The music of NeckBone inspires and challenges the listener to think and become aware and awake spiritually. NeckBone makes “Music You Feel”.
